Termes à connaîtres / Things to know:
I haven't written anything in English really, so here is a bit for all you anglos who are reading my blog. :) With of course some French. And maybe spiced with some casual Deutsch.
Sobriquets pour mes amis et moi:
Nicknames for my friends and I here:
Dream Boat: C'est moi, parce que tout le monde suit dans mes vagues et j'ai toujours un bon vibe... :)
That's me - I always have a good vibe and people follow my waves.

Caveman: Craig - because he once slept in a cave for a week on an island in Grece.

The King (a.k.a The Goner): That's Lars Erik, because he often won games we played. Aber leider ist er jetzt in Karlsruhe. Unfortunately, he is gone to Karlsruhe.

Momma Bear: Sarah, because she is the only girl in the group and she also takes care of our stuff so we don't forget it or in Jeremy and Craig's cases, break them.

Hoover: That's Jeremy's name because he sucks in so much food, just like a Hoover vacuum.
Other Terminology:
Autre terminologie important:
VoKuHinLa: Short for Vor kurz, Hinter lang: that means, In front short, in the back long - that's how the call the 'coupe longeuil' or Mullets here. Which is a very logical name - Germans are very pratical like that.
Blackmusik: Now this one might get a little offensive, for some I guess. It's actually how they call the section for Rap and R&B in the music stores. I guess it's almost true, but still, wouldn't be accepted in Canada I am pretty sure.
Was noch?? What more?? Quoi de plus?? Ah... food (Das Essen!):
Brennessel: Cheap eats, great food. Every night between 6-7:30pm, you can get spaghetti Bolognese, and a crazy big heap of it too, with a great big layer of cheese on top for only 1,80 Euro. They also have Pfannkuchen for 2,60 Euro, comes with salad.

Pfannkuchen: Basically a crêpe rolled around veggies. Usually at Brennessel, leeks. Not to be confused with Flammkuchen.

Flammkuchen: A kind of Pizza like meal. Flatbread with different ingredients on top - usually Margheritta = Tomatos and Cheese. Quite good is the one with Cheese, Ham and tomoato sauce.
Which takes me pretty much to the end of what I can write for now. Es ist spät, und jetzt muss ich schlaffen. (it is late and I must sleep)
Voilà! I hope this makes up for not writing in English all the time. And I guess I just spent the night with a whole bunch of English speaking people so it was necessary for me to write in English.
Tschüss!
